Season IV Nation of Volleyball Professionals (NVP) Thursday, 5:30pm, August 4, 2011 -Hermosa, Manhattan, Huntington, Santa Monica, Long Beach, Redondo- Bragging Rights to which city has the best ballers!!!! -Want to keep your skills sharp for next season? If so, our league is the perfect solution!!! Mens 2s Beach Volleyball League Each team comprised from 3-6 Players Up to $500 Prize Money Pre-League Party (TBD) Hermosa Sharkeez is the Official Home and Sponsor for the NVP. After all games leading up to the playoffs Sharkeez will be giving out wristbands for food and drink specials. Hermosa Sharkeez will be hosting the Official After-Party directly following the Playoff/ Championship . All Attendees will recieve a wristband at Sharkeez with Great food and Drink Specials. Winning team will receive complimentary Beer Pitchers and Appetizers. Rules: - Games Played on Thursdays, starting at 5:30pm (there will be a league schedule posting all games for season. - Captains ARE responsible for coordinating time/date for makeup games. Captains must agree for there to be a makeup game otherwise it will be a forfeit. All makeup games must be done within one week of scheduled game and all makeup games must be done before date of playoffs and finals. - 5 Game Matches to 21 points: “Best out of” format; 5th Game (if necessary) to 15 points - Short Court; Rally Scoring; Wilson Ball - CBVA Rules Apply - All league games will be played at the same site. Game site will be 4th Street in Manhattan Beach.. -MUST have at least 3 paid players per team.Note: If you have not paid your dues before scheduled game you will not be permitted to play. - Must have 2 members of your team present to start scheduled match otherwise you may be forfeited or you may reschedule if both captains agree. Team failing to show up for scheduled match with at least two players ay be forfeited after one hour of scheduled match. Please be on time. After first 30 minutes of no show(team that does not have at least two players) the challenging team will be awarded first game out of the five. - There will be no non-team member subs at any time.. - Player rotations/substitutions determined by team captain - Cannot sub person more than once per game (like with pitchers in baseball) - Each city can have more than one represented team -NVP League's Purpose/Goal- Basically, we are striving
to get the comraderie of having a team, all the while throwing into the mix having "home courts" and bragging rights/trash
talking of who's the best. Leagues are also best at providing continuity, something beach vb culture isn't really accustomed
to( ie one day tournaments). Teams can have up to 6 players, but can have as little
as 3(as long as they are all dependable to consistently make the games. Captains have the felxibility to finalize
their roster up until the day prior to Week 2 game (Feb 19th). We will be responsible for setting up the lines and keeping track of scores. In essence, the only thing
you will be responsible to do is play and have fun:) However, if you are unable to make thursdays scheduled game,
it will be YOUR responsibility to schedule that game with the opposing captain. We are making it a requirement to
have at least 2 players come to each game. We hope having a complete league schedule will enable players to plan their
times accordingly so that they can commit for each weekend's game. Season 4 will commence on Thursday at 5:30pm, 4th in Street Manhattan Beach, CA NVP Season
